|
How Long Does a Field Trip Last?
Plan for a full hour at the parlour. The instructional portion
of the trip is about 45 minutes, followed by enjoying
ice cream and individual questions with the Doc for another 10-15
minutes. |
 |
What Ages are Best?
First and Second grade classes have proven to be an ideal age for
a Field Trip at an ice cream parlour. They
have the right level of interest and understanding (and enough
attention span). However, we have hosted field
trips for groups as young as pre-school and up to 13 years of age. |
 |
How Many Students Can be Accommodated?
The party and manufacturing rooms can hold 10-20 students. Since
we dedicate two employees for an hour to
host a field trip, we require a minimum of 10 students. If you
have more than 20 students, we can book two
Field Trips back-to-back. |
 |
What is the Cost?
Due the high demand for Field Trips, we found it necessary to charge
a nominal fee to cover costs. The fee is
$4.00/child. Public and Private School groups, and Licensed Home
School groups are eligible for a subsidized
Field Trip at $3.00/child. Chaperones are welcome to participate
in tasting free samples from the machine, and
may purchase from the menu during the final portion of the Field
Trip. (Does not include gratuity.) |
 |
When Can a Field Trip be Booked?
We host Field Trips on Tuesdays, with starting of 12:00, 1:00 or
2:00. We limit the number of Field Trips to
two per day, and four per month. Available times are booked on
a first-come, first served basis. Sorry, we
cannot host Field Trips during the summer (Memorial to Labor Day). |
